Introduction of the speaker

Wu Jieran is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Finance at the School of Economics, Zhejiang University, and a recipient of the National Excellent Youth Science Fund. Assistant Dean of the Institute of Finance at Zhejiang University, Director of the Center for Financial Theory and Policy Research, and Director of the Macroeconomic Center of the Future Regional Development Laboratory at Zhejiang University. Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia in the United States. His main research areas are macroeconomics, asset pricing theory, mathematical economics, and computational methods. His papers have been published in top international and domestic academic journals such as Econometrica, Theoretical Economics, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and World Economy. He has won honors such as the Outstanding Economic Research Award from the Federal Reserve, the Top 10 Academic Advances of Zhejiang University, and the Outstanding Innovation Achievement Award from the China Society of Information Economics. He has also been selected for the National High-level Talent (Youth) Program and the Tier 2 Canada Research Chair Program. He serves as an anonymous reviewer for multiple top international academic journals, as well as a member of the Academic Paper Review Committee at the China International Conference on Macroeconomics (CICM).
