Abstract:Encouraging and supporting private sector development is crucial for promoting economic growth, innovation, openness, and revitalization breakthroughs in the Northeast region. Although the private economy in Northeast region has experienced substantial growth in recent years, there still exists a notable gap in scale and strength when compared to developed provinces. Therefore, it is essential to address several key areas to boost the private economy in this region, namely institutional mechanisms, economic structure, openness, and ideology. Firstly, institutional mechanisms must be reformed to establish a market economy that is open, fair, and just. All participants should have equal access to resources and markets. Secondly, optimizing the industrial structure is necessary by encouraging the transfer of industries from eastern regions to the Northeast and promoting coordinated development between stateowned enterprises and private businesses. Thirdly, it is crucial to expand openness to the outside world by accelerating the construction of Northeast Sea and Land Corridor and promoting the development of the China-Russia-Mongolia Economic Corridor and the China-Japan-Korea Free Trade Zone. Lastly, a shift in ideas and concepts, along with improvements to the business environment, is required.
