Ze Yuan Xiong is an Assistant Professor at the China Institute for Economic Research, Liaoning University. He received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University (2024) and his bachelor’s degree from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (2018). His primary research areas include international trade and political economy. His recent research topics include the role of state-owned enterprises in trade liberalization and U.S. trade policies during the Great Depression.
