Russell W. Cooper, born in Florida, USA, is currently a full-time professor at the Institute of Chinese Economy, Liaoning University. He is a researcher at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a fellow of the Econometric Society, and a fellow of the American Economic Association. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1982. He has held long-term teaching positions at Yale University and Penn State University, and was a National Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University (1987-88).
Professor Cooper is one of the world's leading macroeconomists, dedicated to exploring the issue of incomplete information in macroeconomics. His pioneering insights into coordination games have become a crucial theoretical foundation in the field of macroeconomics. He has published over a hundred high-quality academic papers in various fields including macroeconomics, international economics, industrial organization, experimental economics, labor economics, and monetary economics. Among them, 19 papers have been published in the five top international economics journals.
