Yang Zhe is an assistant professor at the China Economic Research Institute (CERI) at Liaoning University. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Davis. He previously worked as an assistant professor at the Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR) at Jinan University. His main research areas focus on labor economics, family economics, and applied economics. He is currently leading a project funded by the Guangdong Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Planning. His papers have been published in journal of environmental economics and management, Journal of Asian Economics, Population and Aging, Economic Development and Culture Change, and forthcoming atJournal of Labor Economics.
