Recently, the collaborative paper by Professor Yumi Jie Yu, President of Liaoning University and Fellow of the International Economic Association, along with Magnus Lodefalk and Aili Tang from Orebro University in Sweden, has been accepted for publication in the international journal Applied Economics Letters.

Abstract of the paper:

This paper employs survival analysis methods and utilizes micro-panel data at the firm-country and firm-country-product levels in Sweden to systematically examine the impact of export credit guarantees on the duration of firm exports. The research findings reveal that export credit guarantees significantly extend the export persistence of firms at both levels, and this effect is more pronounced among small-scale enterprises, small contracts, and trade targeting high-risk markets. The research conclusions offer important implications for improving policy tools, enhancing the stability of firm exports, and promoting long-term export growth.
